ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Location: Rockwall, TX – 100% Onsite
Employment Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 DOE
Imprimis Group has partnered with an amazing nonprofit organization in Rockwall, TX that is seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting and nonprofit compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager with nonprofit experience who is ready to take greater ownership of the accounting function. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage month-end close and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash flow.
- Support annual organizational and program budgets.
- Coordinate the annual audit process and work with external auditors and accounting resources.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable nonprofit accounting requirements.
- Maintain nonprofit financial documentation and support required regulatory and tax filings, including Form 990.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting materials for leadership and Board review.
- Communicate financial results and relevant information to executive leadership and Board representatives.
- Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, policies and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.
- Support grant budgeting, financial reporting and other finance-related development activities.
- Coordinate insurance administration and related financial documentation.
- Handle confidential financial, employee and organizational information with discretion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Approximately 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience required.
- Nonprofit accounting experience strongly required.
- Experience with month-end close, financial statements, budgeting and audit support.
- Working knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices, including restricted funds and Form 990 requirements.
- Experience communicating financial information to leadership and/or Board members.
- QuickBooks experience required; QuickBooks Online required, or similar.
- Payroll/HRIS experience; ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including advanced Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to independently manage deadlines and priorities.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Successful completion required background screening.
