Imprimis Group has partnered with a growing privately held family office in Plano to identify an experienced Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with exposure to multiple business entities and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across a diverse portfolio of companies while helping strengthen accounting processes as the organization continues to grow. What You'll Do:
As the Senior Accountant, you'll oversee day-to-day accounting functions across multiple entities and partner closely with leadership to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities include:
  • Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple business entities.
  • Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Process and oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections.
  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and identify reporting variances.
  • Support annual tax preparation, audits, and outside CPA relationships.
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules, depreciation, and supporting documentation.
  • Review contracts, leases, and financing agreements for accounting implications.
  • Administer QuickBooks Online and maintain organized financial records.
  • Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and month-end processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to an Accounting Assistant.
  • Partner with the CFO on special projects and process improvements.
 
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong General Ledger and month-end close experience.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or active CPA candidate.
  • Family office or closely held business experience.
  • Experience in real estate, construction, logistics, hospitality, or nonprofit accounting.
  • Exposure to treasury or bill-pay platforms.
  • Interest in leveraging AI and automation tools to improve accounting efficiency.
