Senior Design Engineer - Alvarado, Texas (Onsite)
Direct Hire - $88,000–$98,000 base + bonus

Imprimis Group/IGXperts is actively seeking a Senior Design Engineer for a high-impact onsite opportunity supporting advanced steel structure design and engineering operations. This is a leadership-focused role for an experienced engineer who can drive technical excellence, improve processes, and help lead engineering initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We are looking for someone who brings strong structural design expertise, proven leadership ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

What You’ll Own:

Lead design engineering efforts supporting steel structure and utility infrastructure projects.
Oversee quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery of engineering designs.
Partner with engineering leadership to improve processes, workflows, and technical standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering operations.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality and process issues.
Establish performance metrics, monitor team productivity, and drive operational improvements.
Support large-scale engineering projects and process redesign initiatives.
Lead team collaboration, technical reviews, and project execution meetings.
Help strengthen engineering design systems, standards, and software utilization.
Mentor and develop engineering team members through coaching and knowledge transfer.
Partner cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams to support business objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

Engineering degree required (Civil or Mechanical strongly preferred).
5–10+ years of design engineering experience in steel structures, utility infrastructure, or related environments.
Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Strong AutoCAD proficiency required.
Experience with steel utility structures, transmission design, or related structural systems preferred.
Strong knowledge of engineering design software and 3D modeling applications.
Experience with PLS Pole software is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of continuous improvement and lean process methodologies.
Strong technical problem-solving and analytical ability.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
